It is an autonomous private engineering college located in Bangalore, Karnataka and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University headquartered at Belgaum, Karnataka, India. MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Bangalore in Bangalore city established in 1962 by the late Dr. M.S. Ramaiah was found to be one altogether the oldest engineering colleges in South India.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology
Students should have passed second year PUC final examination with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects. Minimum of 45% marks should be scored. SC/ST students should have obtained at least 40% of marks. The students should have passed in the entrance exam conducted by Government of Karnataka.
