Student Review:

Placements: Placements provided by our college are excellent, but getting placed depends on the students completely. In this year, the highest package was offered by Microsoft, which was 40 LPA, whereas the average package offered to the students of CS and IS was 6 LPA to 8 LPA. The package offered in PESU campus is 12 LPA. P.E.S is now under PESU, so we can get the same packages. A lot of core companies visit the campus to offer placements, and the students are interested. The companies provided a lot of opportunities, so even the students from non-IT branches have cracked top IT jobs because of the learning opportunity, free choice of subjects in electives, and a lot of other activities which are conducted every week after the college hours. If you have a minimum of 6 GPA and a few decent projects, you’ll be able to get placed with a package of 6 LPA, and it’s a common point irrespective of the department. The students who are good at their work, are offered the highest placement package of 24 LPA, 34 LPA and 40 LPA in the past three years. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is excellent. The colleges in B’lore are not huge, but P.E.S, SC is spread over 50 acres. A few companies and APU campus are present inside the college. Two libraries, streaming of classroom videos, gym and sports facilities are available on the campus. Mess facilities are available. The college has a research centre, basketball court, table tennis, cricket ground, and football ground.

Faculty: The teachers are great. Every department has 2 to 3 teachers with over 20 to 30 years of experience. Core departments like EC and ME have PhD holding faculty from top IITs and international colleges. I’m from IS department, and it has the best faculty and facilities. More than half of the faculty are from IITs and IISc. They have excellent experience in research and international level teaching. They are a bit strict but provide amazing opportunities. The syllabus in PESU is one of the best in the country and is updated to the latest version. The college has excellent clubs for coding, theory and programs like PESU IO project, peer to peer learning. The study pattern is unparalleled.

Other: The fests aren’t frequent or grand because a small number of students are present on the campus. The college has a lot of new clubs and activities. Scholarships are provided to the top 25% students. The college provides funds for the best projects, and the faculty provide good support to the students, which are an add-on to the college. We enjoy a lot being in B’lore, but fests aren’t the best in PES.
