Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination (equivalent to the two year Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT.

The eligibility for admission is 45% in case of General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility.

B.Tech Admission Process:
Admissions to the 4 year undergraduate engineering programmes are given on the basis of the Admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) or Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK).

The college admissions are governed by VTU which accepts these exams for admission to the university itself and the affiliated colleges. The candidate must have studied 10 + 2 pattern of Education which is equivalent to Pre-University of Karnataka, obtained a minimum 50% of marks.

The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/ technology courses).

The entrance test will be based on the existing syllabus of either 10+2 or 2nd PUC and candidates have to be thorough in all the topics taught so as to make it to the top COMEDK UGET colleges.

Eligibility for International Students :

The candidate must have studied 10 + 2 pattern of Education which is equivalent to Pre-University of Karnataka, India with Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Electronics / Biology as optional with English as one of the language of study and obtained a minimum 50% of marks in the optional subjects (as per Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka, India, eligibility criteria for the year 2017-18).

This is a institute with great infrastructure. It is situated near the market area so easy to approach any shop. The campus is also near to IISc Bangalore. Although the college is located in the heart of Bangalore it has a rich infrastructure. Wi-Fi is provided only near the central libraries. Classrooms are provided with projectors. Labs are well-equipped with A/C. Good quality food is available in canteens. Hostel rooms are very nice. No I haven’t faced any problem related to infrastructure.

Faculty:
Faculty is quite well educated. Most of them are Ph.D. holders and the rest are pursuing Ph.D. So you can trust the management and faculty and as the college is affiliated to VTU, the course curriculum is good. The faculty teaching first year have very poor knowledge especially in EC, CS EE but mechanical faculty are awesome. No industrial exposure. The course curriculum provided ere strictly followed. The faculty to student ratio is 1:40. The teaching quality for higher semesters are faculty members are very good they will make all students eligible for final exams by giving grace marks.
