It is an autonomous private engineering college located in Bangalore, Karnataka and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University headquartered at Belgaum, Karnataka, India.

The college infrastructure has been developed over the years to address the changing demands. MSRIT campus has very good library filled with collection of knowledgeable resources and innovative information helpful for the students and teachers.

Faculties are well qualified, knowledgeable and students seem glad with the teaching. Breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and special dinner is provided by the mess comprising of both North and South Indian food items.

Well furnished rooms in the hostel are available for single/double/triple occupancy with attached/common bath rooms with hot water. Internet Centre is available in a safe and secure place.
