People’s Education Society University, Electronic City Campus or PES University, EC Campus ( formerly called the PES Institute of Technology or PESIT) is a private co-educational b.tech college on Hosur Road, Near Electronic City, Bangalore, India. PESU EC Campus was established in 2005 and is affiliated to the VTU, Belgaum and is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). As per August 2018 , the name of the college has been changed to PES Institute of Technology , Electronic city activities.

History
PES Institute of Technology is managed by the People’s Education Society (PES), which was founded in 1972, in a rented gymnasium in Bangalore, with around 40 students. P.E.S. currently manages over 45 educational programs in Karnataka and neighboring Andhra Pradesh focused on four main educational areas: Engineering, Medicine, Management and Life Sciences. PES Institute of Technology is the most recent addition to the PES family of educational institutions and received AICTE approval in 2005.
Campus Activities
PES Institute of Technology is located on Hosur Road and is about a kilometer from Electronic City. Located in the IT capital 7 India-Bangalore, PES Institute of Technology South is the first academic activities on the IT Corridor of Bangalore City.
Admission criteria
PES Institute of Technology admits students to undergraduate courses on basis of their merit in the Karnataka CET or in the COMED-K undergraduate test(COMEDK UGET). Students are also admitted through a management quota, which does not place any merit requirements. There is a lateral entry scheme in place, by which students holding diploma degrees can enter directly to the second year of study in b.tech. Students, upon graduating, receive a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

Clubs
TEAM ENIGMA – SAE INDIA Club for design and fabrication of vehicles for participating in SAE BAJA and FORMULA SAE competitions.
Aero PESIT-BSC – Aero-PESITBSC, the Aero Design Club at PESIT-BSC design, fabricate, and test micro unmanned aerial vehicles. Team Avions is a subgroup of Aero-PESITBSC that officially represents PESIT-BSC at various national and international aero-desin competitions.
They participated for the first time in SAE Aero design East 2013 (Micro Class) held at Fortworth, Texas and was placed 14th overall. More recently, Team Avions was placed second overall SAE Aerodesign West 2014 (Micro class).
Azim Premji University – The PES Institute of Technologyalso houses an interim activity of the Azim Premji University located in the Pixel Park block.

In 1972, PES Institute of Technology was founded with just over 40 students in a rented gymnasium at Bangalore. Today, we have more than 8000 students spread across three different campuses in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
It is our unwavering commitment to the highest quality education that has speeded us on this journey. I would also like to thank the generations of parents who have entrusted us with the care and education of their children. It is their faith and belief in PES Institute of Technology that has helped us come this far.
