JEE Main (Joint Entrance Exam – Main) formerly All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) is a national level entrance exam for Engineering and Architecture or Planning Admission in NITs (National Institute of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutes) and other SFTIs (State Funded Technical Institutes) locates across the country.

JEE Main is now conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) twice a year in online mode only, until 2018 it was conducted by CBSE once in a year in both online and offline modes.

The Examination consists of two papers:

Paper I: For B.E / B.Tech Courses

Paper II: For B.Arch Course

A candidate can opt for any or both the papers but Paper I is compulsory whereas Paper II is optional. Both Papers have three subject sections of objective-type questions. Paper I has Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry while Paper II consists of Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing based on scenario.
