BNMIT Eligibility for Management Quota Admissions

BNMIT has defined eligibility criteria for candidates seeking direct admission under the management quota for B.E., MBA, and other programmes.

✅ Undergraduate Engineering (B.E.)

  • Completion of Class 12 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects.
  • Generally, a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in PCM subjects is expected for eligibility under the management quota.
  • Entrance exams like KCET/COMEDK may not be mandatory for management quota seats, but fulfilling the minimum eligibility conditions is essential.

✅ Postgraduate – MBA

  • A Bachelor’s degree (in Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Administration or Engineering) with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Entrance exam scores such as MAT / CAT / KMAT / PGCET may be considered for merit seats, but for management quota, the institute may consider past academic performance and entrance test rankings rather than counselling.

The MBA management quota admissions are merit-based on scores and past academics.

Scholarships

The Management is happy to announce Scholarships for meritorious and also economically weaker/poor students/rural/farmer’s children

  • Students admitted through CET within rank number 1000 will be given a special scholarship pf Rs. 25000/-  at the time of admission.
  • Students admitted through COMEDK within rank number 3000 will be given a special scholarship of Rs. 25000/- at the time of admission.
  • Toppers in every branch  for each semester will get a Merit Scholarship.
  • Scholarships of Rs.10,000/- to Rs.40,000/- will be given to Rural and Farmer’s Children as well as students from economically weaker sections.
  • Students who are selected to represent VTU in interuniversity sports are awarded Rs.10,000/-.
  • Students who are selected to represent Karnataka in any sports are awarded a scholarship of Rs.25,000/-.
  • Students who are selected to represent our Country in any sports are awarded a scholarship of Rs.50,000/-.
  • Cultural scholarship of Rs.10,000/-  to Rs.30,000/-  among participants of VTU Youth Festival.
  • Economically Weak and meritorious students from the Maratha community will get a Scholarship.

  • All students securing Ranks in degree examination are awarded 22 carat Gold Medals.
