Information Science Department in BMS College
The department of Information and Engineering at BMS College of Engineering was started in 1987 with an intake of 60 students at the undergraduate level. Since then the Department of Information Science and Engineering has evolved over the years to portray its academic excellence. In 2000 the intake has been enhanced to 90 students.
The Department is well equipped with 25 experienced faculties; among them 03 are Professors and 04 are Associate Professors. The Department also has close interaction with some corporate houses like EMC2, TCS, SAP, and IBM to promote student projects. The Department has an outstanding placement record with an average of 95% for the last 3 years.
The Department started M.Tech in Computer Network and Engineering under VTU Belgaum in 2011 with an intake of 18 seats. Post Graduate Students are encouraged to gain knowledge of practical aspects.
