Selection is based on the rank secured through CBT (Computer Based Test).

Selected candidates will be called for online counselling based on their ranking.

Eligible Candidates may select specific campus and programmed during the Counselling.

After payment of full fees classes will be conducted online / reporting in person to the Institution.

A qualified UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) score is mandatory for admission

A merit list will be prepared on the basis of 10+2 marks and a Valid UCEED score

The shortlisted applicants will be called for counselling (virtual or physical)

The fact that a candidate has qualified and has been called for counselling does not guarantee admission to him/her. This depends upon the performance in the Interview/Skill Test and the availability of seats

The final list will be prepared based on the performance in the Interview/Skill Test at the time of counselling

Step 1 – New user Registration	The valid e-mail address and active mobile number. Enter all the relevant details carefully. An OTP will be sent to your Registered Indian Mobile Number for verification. Once OTP is validated, a password will be sent to your registered email address. All the correspondence shall be made to the registered email address and mobile number only.
Step 2 – Sign in for registered users	Login with the registered email address and the password received from VIT.
Step 3 – Filling Online application form	Fill in the relevant fields carefully. An Application Number will be generated after filling in primary details. Refer to this application number in all your future correspondence.
Step 4 – Payment	Valid Net Banking Account/ Credit/ Debit Card or Paytm Account. Online Web browser: Rs.1250 For Abroad test center: Equivalent to USD 50 in INR Application cost is non-refundable
Step 5 – Photo & Signature Upload	After payment, a soft copy of your photo and signature should be uploaded. Scanned files (.jpg format) of your photo (3.5 cm width x 4.5 cm height; 10-200 kB size) and signature (3.5 cm width x 1.5 cm height; 10-200 kB size)
Step 6 – Download the filled-in application form	Download and save the filled-in application for your reference and further correspondence. Applicants NEED NOT SEND a hard copy of the filled-in Application Form to VIT.

Nationality	The applicant should be a Resident / Non-Resident Indian National / PIO. Foreign Candidates studied/studying abroad can apply directly through the foreign category only at https://admissions.vit.ac.in/ugirapplication/
Age Limit	*Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2000 are eligible to apply for UG Engineering admission (UGEA) 2022. The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic. Candidates should produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling/admission, failing which they will be disqualified.
Qualifying Examination	Candidates applying for UG Engineering admission should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2022, in any one of the following qualifying examinations: The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination is conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), and The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi. Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level. As per VIT Norms, Regular ‘NIOS’ board candidates are also eligible for Undergraduate Engineering programmes. Applicants should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining. They should also provide the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Total (including all subjects) and upload the scanned copy of the mark list and other relevant documents whenever available on the application form. *For Indian nationals/ NRI/ PIO cardholders, appearance in VITEEE-22 is mandatory to be eligible for B. Tech. admission under regular mode (Applicants under International/NRI quota exempted). In case VITEEE gets cancelled due to natural calamities, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks or JEE-22 or a valid SAT. Applicants will be informed with specifics in such cases.
Eligibility Criteria For The Qualifying Examination	Candidates applying for the Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2022 should have secured a minimum aggregate of 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate). Candidates applying for the Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2022 should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate) for the following categories: #Candidates belonging to SC/ST #Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. CERTIFICATE TO PROVE COMMUNITY / NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
Subject Eligibility	Candidates having studied Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry in +2 / Higher Secondary Board are eligible for all the B.Tech. Programmes Candidates having studied Biology/Physics/Chemistry in +2/ Higher Secondary Board are eligible for the following Bio stream programmes only. Upon joining, the students need to mandatorily register for a bridge course in Mathematics #B.Tech. Bio-engineering(VIT-Bhopal) #B.Tech. Biotechnology(VIT, Vellore) #B.Tech. Q. Is the fee Structure of VIT Vellore high?

A. Fee Structure of VIT Vellore is very high as compared to GFTI but it is similar to other private deemed universities like Amity, Thapar, LNMIT, Manipal, SRM etc.

A. VIT entrance exam is not really hard but you have to manage more accuracy while attempting the paper and make sure you are good in your basics of 11th and 12th in order to crack VITEEE, it’s a big exam with around 3,00,000 applicants, so be fast and accurate.

Q. Is VIT better than NIT?

A. You can get good NIT and some NIT are better than VIT so, NIT will be a good choice to study. VIT is far better than many of the NITs. It has excellent faculties and an incomparable infrastructure. But it’s a private institute as you know, other than that VIT is far better an option.

‘No’. There is no lateral entry admission offered for B.Tech and UG Programmed. Diploma holders (10+3) are eligible for B.Sc. Multimedia and Animation, Visual Communication, Fashion Designing (Chennai) with an overall aggregate of 60%.
