Eligibility for Admission

Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and Outside Maharashtra State Candidate:

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject and Secured minimum 50% marks (minimum 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject added together and Obtained a positive Composite score i.e., marks obtained after adding 50% of JEE (Main) (Paper 1) marks and 50% of normalized Standard XII (Board or Equivalent Examination) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Eligibility Criteria for All India Candidates:

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject and Secured minimum 50% marks (minimum 45%marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject added together. Note:

  • Maharashtra Candidates eligible as per rule 2.1 and 2.2 shall submit single Application and Option form for the CAP for both Maharashtra State Seats and All India Seats. Such candidates will be given best single allotment through CAP as per inter-se-merit.
  • Refer Rule No 2.11 regarding Rounding off of percentage of marks for deciding the eligibility, if applicable.

For the candidates wishing admission under Management Quota

Candidates from Maharashtra State as well as from outside Maharashtra State, having educational qualification as specified, are eligible for Management Quota, who Obtained All India Rank in JEE (Main) (Paper 1) conducted by CBSE. For Diploma holder candidates

The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma Course in Engg/Technology with at least 45 % marks (40 % marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in appropriate branch of Engg / Technology from an AICTE approved Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level. The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC /Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40 % marks incase of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) and passed XII standard examination with Mathematics as the subject and with English as the medium of instruction at B.Sc. level. Note:-

  1. The students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall only be considered after filling the seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma Stream and students belonging to B.Sc. stream are required to pass the subjects of Engg Graphics / Engg Drawing and Engg Mechanics of the first year Engg program along with the second year subjects.
