About WiE

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is an Affinity Group at PESIT South Campus that is dedicated to promoting women engineers in the field of science and technology. This is in association with the International WIE Organisation of IEEE which stands for inspiring young enthusiastic women around the world to follow their academic dreams in Science.Our goal is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. We envision a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity. IEEE WIE strives to :

1. Recognize the outstanding achievements of women in electrical and electronics engineering through IEEE Awards nominations.
2. Organize receptions at major technical conferences to enhance networking and to promote membership in WIE.

4. Provide assistance with the formation of new WIE Affinity Groups, and support ongoing activities.

RAS strives to advance innovation, education, and fundamental and applied research in Robotics and Automation. Robotics focuses on systems incorporating sensors and actuators that operate autonomously or semi-autonomously in cooperation with humans. Robotics research emphasizes intelligence and adaptability to cope with unstructured environments.
