RV College of Engineering

RV College of Engineering is considered as the best engineering colleges in the country, it is rated as top among the ten self funding technical institutions in India.

This college was started its operations with only three undergraduate engineering streams in 1963, the college is funded and managed by a nonprofit charitable trust “Rastreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust” more than 25 institutions from kindergarten to profession in Bangalore are managed by this trust.

Infrastructure

When it comes to infrastructure, RV stands a bit down but there are all the facilities available such as digital library, Wi-Fi, sports complex, well-equipped labs, hostels, food court, canteen, gym, hospital, temple etc.

Faculty

The faculty members are really good; they are well qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers use on-hands, practical, theoretical and digital approach for a topic. There is a decent faculty-student ratio of 1:60. There are also many industries set up R&D labs in college which helps students to learn even more than the curriculum. There are also regular industrial visits, company visits etc to make students aware of the current technology trends.

They provide healthy support to students in the in-house projects and mini-projects. There are many projects and talks will be arranged for the student’s personal development. They also conduct a personality development program for the students’ betterment.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was started in the year 1972 and now conducts one undergraduate program, two postgraduate programs (M. Tech in VLSI Design & Embedded Systems and M. Tech in Communication Systems) with academic autonomy, and Ph.D. program with affiliation to VTU.

A total of 57 experienced faculty members, support four core specializations (VLSI Design, Wireless & Wireline Communications, Signal Processing and Embedded Systems) in the department.
