BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) was Founded in the year 1946 by Late Sri. B. M. Sreenivasaiah a great visionary and philanthropist and nurtured by his illustrious son Late Sri. B. S. Narayan. BMSCE is the first private sector initiative in engineering education in India. BMSCE has completed 69 years of dedicated service in the field of Engineering Education. Started with only 03 undergraduate courses, BMSCE today offers 13 Undergraduate & 16 Postgraduate courses both in conventional and emerging areas. 15 of its Departments are recognized as Research Centers offering PhD/M.Sc (Engineering by Research) degrees in Science, Engineering, Architecture and Management. The College has been effectively practicing outcome based education.
Location & Area Status –
Located in the heart of Bangalore, the Garden City of India, BMSCE is about 5 KMs from the Central Railway Station. The campus area is 15 Acres with a built up area of 62,068 Sq.M. BMSCE is located in a campus spread over 15 acres of land and offers students with excellent facilities like Library and Information Center, Placement Center, Sports, Data Center and Hostel.
INDUSTRY INSTITUTION INTERACTION CELL (IIIC)
BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) has placed emphasis on the cultivation of strong links with industry and promotion of various industrial activities by the faculty members and students. The Industry Interaction Cell facilitates the exchange of ideas amongst students, faculty, and the industry.

The counseling center at BMSCE was started in April 2016. The center is situated on the 4th floor of PG Block in the campus. Smt. K, Bhageerathi is in charge of the center right from inception. The center was started with the vision of fostering holistic development of students by addressing their social, emotional and psychological needs apart from their regular academics.
The center provides professional, confidential, effective and accessible counseling in a friendly & non-threatening setting and acts as a resource for faculty & parents in managing behavioral & psychological issues pertaining to students. Issues addressed are maladjustment, absenteeism, low self-esteem, lack of study skills, Relationship problems, addictions, and parental issues of students.
