The B.M.S. Institute of Technology (abbreviated as BMSIT), is a private b.tech college in Bangalore, Karnataka, India affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.

It was founded by B S Narayana, son of educationist B M Sreenivasaiah, and is managed by the BM S Educational Trust.

It is the sister institution of B M S College of Engineering, a well-established government-aided b.tech college in India.

B M S Institute of Technology is located on SH-9, KA, a little distance away from Bangalore, in an open and sparsely

populated and built area, known as Avalahalli. Initially, starting out with six disciplines of engg, viz., Electronics and

Communication, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunications, Mechanical, information science,

B.M.S. Institute of Technology’s 21 acres (10 ha) campus is about 5 km north of Yelahanka Satellite Town, on SH-9.

The college contains The Main Academic Block, the B S Narayan memorial Block, the Administrative Block, and three blocks of the boys’ hostel, an amphitheater, and several sports pitches and courts.

The Academic block houses the departments of Electronics and Communication, Telecommunication Engineering,

The B S Narayan memorial block houses the Library and the departments of Computer Science and Engineering,

Information Science, MCA, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physical Education.

On- and off-site hostels for boys and girls, with double and triple seater dorm rooms, are provided to a limited number of boarders from all over the country, and few offshore students.

Placements: Placements are better than many other private colleges in Bangalore with an average package of over 3.75-4.25 lack per annum. The highest package offered for the year 2017 is 18L.

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with good labs. Classrooms are kind of schools. Labs have modern equipment. Blocks are new. One more block especially for labs is under construction.

Faculty: The faculty in ECE department is good. Many teachers are holding Ph.D. and any pursuing is the same. Faculty members are really helpful in college. Course completion is on time.

Attendance issues are taken in consideration. You should have 75% attendance to b safe. There are placement training from the first year itself. So many trained candidates are produced. Infrastructure: Good and well-maintained infrastructure. It is a Wi-Fi-enabled campus. There is a library in which you could get pretty much any book u r looking for. There are many facilities like indoor sports room, grounds, sick room, etc. The quality of the food available in the canteen and hostel mess is really good. Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified with many Ph.D. holders and many pursuing Ph.D. The teaching quality of most of the teachers is excellent. They give many presentations and seminars quite often. We do get a lot of industrial exposure as they take us to many industrial visits. Other: We host a fest called utsaha every year in the month of April which is one of the most reputed fests across Bangalore. Many other seminars are conducted for various occasions.
