BIT is currently affiliated to VTU. The college initially offered the Bachelor of Engineering degrees in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation Technological knowledge, Electrical, Civil and Mechanical, Information Science and Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management. Bengaluru College of Technological knowledge was the first college to introduce a full-fledged Computer Science and Engineering course in Karnataka. It is recognized by the AICTE and has been accredited by NBA. At present BIT offers 9 undergraduate, 10 post graduate and a PhD course(s) with a student body of more than 4000. There are a number of centres carrying out inter-disciplinary research and many collaborative programmes exist between the college and other institutions such as the College of Science (IISc) and National Aerospace Laboratories (N.A.L.). The college is also a program centre for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Teaching and research work is supported by facilities such as a central library with 90000 volumes of text books and reference books and an Industrial Consultancy and Research Center. The college has an auditorium (1200 seating capacity), seminar hall, co-operative society, canteen, and cultural sections as well as hostels for boys and girls. BIT is located in IT hub of India, Bengaluru and therefore no such issues of placement. This college provides you a plethora of opportunities to prove your strengths. There are so many cultural and industrial events to organize and to be a part that you would improve your managerial skills. The infrastructure of BIT is good, a beautiful campus. All facilities are available. Classes and labs are well equipped, course curriculum is updated according to the norms specified and faculties are very helpful. Student life is awesome at BIT. BIT is a college where a student is not only concerned about studies but also in extracurricular activities like participation in dance, song, clubs etc. So it’s a place for our talent and placement are at the same rating compared to Bengaluru 1st rated college RV and infrastructure though is very small is good and every single faculty so very educated and has a minimum of 10yr experience n teach well. Placements are nice but except that nothing is really appreciated like there is no real campus of this college and also the faculties are not good for any branches.
